The Rover's Rhapsody

He wriggled to the nearest room,
His chin felt the sand,
His arms his paws.

Belonging to thee, he felt-
motionless, spiritless;
Wanting to reach thee, he tried-
but was he still, or
the land versus.

Pale skin had a mush-
of dreams, of blithe.
But the wind swept,
the way against.

The dawn was way gone,
the day was gloomy,
the room distant.
Didn't see an option, a way.
The path was pined.

But he kept making-
a path, an attempt,
to reach the horde,
to see his own.

And a fine trice soon came
the wind blew smoother,
the pine felt soother.
And he reached his mates.

One thing was lost, though.
It was - a spirit, a life.

And the man's corpse
witnessed it all.

This shows a new side of your writing. At least, new to me, as I have only followed your blog a short while yet.

The imagery of the person's struggle at the edge of life/death is so skillfully depicted.

Very powerful and well-written!

Hey Jenny!
Thanks for such nice words. I wished to write something like this for a long time and even today, while writing this one, I began thinking something else and ended up with this.

I am always amazed to get such nice reviews on the most impulsive of my works. :)

Everything you write flows ... Though rhythm or flow is certainly not my forte, but I like your works.

According to me being impulsive never stifles the ingenuity or the creativity of your works. Anyways impulsive or not, you always write well and I enjoy reading you as such!
Keep writing ... :)

Its actually the generosity at your side that makes these words to shine out. I just do a mere writing part but as said,
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so a big thanks to you..!

And the amazement is still on a high..

Impulsive writing is very interesting. To let the mind wander a bit.

Btw, now that my blog is private, the update service for new postings does not work, unfortunately. But I usually post about once a week, so please drop by when you can anyway. I really appreciate feedback. :)

Yeah, I noticed that.
So I went on to the blog and saw it. Read the new post as well.
Sure thing, i'll be regular reading it.
