Paradise, Indeed

The desert, so dry,
yet life in its cove.

The river, so sharp,
yet foam on its face.

The mountains, so high,
yet birds fly them cross.

The forests, so green,
yet a spectrum of colours inside.

The valleys, so smooth,
yet steps of life in its heart.

The wetlands, so marsh,
yet home to nature's wonders.

The oceans, so simple,
yet beauty never ending.

The hills, so just ridges,
yet a legacy of ages.

The Earth, so Beautiful,
brings twinkle in the eye,
brings the heart to mellow,
brings happiness to face,
brings satisfaction to spirit.

The Earth, so beautiful,
Paradise indeed, it is.

it is paradise indeed,
my friend,
the earth is in need;

its losing its grace
to the human's pace
that disfigured her face
earth is asking for a solace.

Yeah, you reflected the other face of the coin very well. The earth surely needs us to wake up from this age long slumber.

Hi Rajat,

Amazing how you managed to tie all of these natural elements together so smoothly.

The stanzas feel like waves, where the second last one is the largest wave; then harmony is restored with last one.

Well, you opened my eyes to my own work.. I never noticed or thought about the larger wave idea, but thanks to you, I'll now be able to use something like this more often with an initial thought going into it. :)
