What's in a Name?

It has always been said, rather debated upon, as to how does it matter what one's name is. Its just a word, rather a mere sound to refer to someone. Same is my belief.

I remember the day, I got inspired by my greatest friend, made up my mind that I too will have a blog. Signing into blogger and then the tormenting task of what my blog would be called. It my be vivacious, enthralling, attracting and unique, all at the same time. So I began putting in the words I could dream of. Certainly, my vocabulary gave up to the number of bloggers up on the net.

Tired of all efforts, I decided that the next word, whatsoever it may be,which comes up on verification image shall be the title to my blog. And hence the name, solisto.

PS: Later I realized, it must mean something. Looked up for it on the Google Translator and the auto search told it was a Lithuanian word for a soloist. Lucky for me, I got the blog name, alternate to which I don't believe is still possible for me to get...

A similar sense of reason/logic should prevent us from considering ourselves a level above the animals, only because of a fact, that we humans seem to speak a language(s).

Even languages, they are all the same. The inventor back then had got carried away. Then some more of us copied the suit. And are still doing the same. All in the name of evolution maybe...

@aditya
surely, its just some random sound we render the name of language, spoken the same way over and over again, just as animals do.
name, too is something of that sort. a random selection of letters, maybe with a syllable or two.
