heart

the heart is a shame
to the one who believes-
it beats

it is ugly
as ugly as
it looks

it lets you dream
don't know how;
where are its wits?

then the calculative
and mean - brain
washes the fantasies

if that's not enough,
you have the world,
by your side

the world that looks
for opportunities
to rip you off

and then you say-
i love thee
with all my heart

how true my heart is-
my brain cannot tell
nor can the world

does the heart really love?

or is it
just as ugly
as it looks

Heart is for those who just feel, without reason, for them the heart has a mind of its own.

Come to think of it, the reasoning mind seems to make an illustrative illusion of the subsidiary mind in the heart when we choose to give up feeling without reason.

As ugly it might look, for me its beautiful as long as it is thumping and kicking.

Nice notion and beautiful entwining of words.

Why don't you submit your work at Poem Hunter.

Cheers,

@Blasphemous Aesthete
surely, for physical being heart indeed is beautiful and it maybe for emotions too. its just a flow of overpowering anxiety that bursts out sometimes.
and your advise is duly taken, will think of poemhunter soon.
